This gorgeous 2 prong hair fork has been handcrafted in the UK from a piece of Padauk. Natural un-dyed timber which has been finished with natural oils and waxes.
Padauk comes from Central and tropical west Africa and has a very unique reddish orange colouration, and the wood is sometimes referred to by the name Vermillion.
It is moderately heavy wood, strong, and stiff, with exceptional stability making it a popular hardwood among hobbyist woodworkers because of this and its unique colour.
The timber used comes from reputable timber merchants or are off-cuts from various sources.
